Arielle did this, so I figured I'd do it too. It didn't tell me anything new, though. (YAY, Fred Thompson!)

Merry Christmas is Prettige Kerstdagen. Happy New Year is Gelukkig Nieuwjaar.

You probably know that this is on the fifth, and is mostly celebrated by families. It's not religious (arielle could celebrate it), and presents aren't the most important thing. It's also held on the fifth of December.
I'm trying to get a job at the Bath and Body Works, and I've called the lady to schedule an interview a couple of times today, but she won't call me back!

It's irritating!

By the way, new icon. Yays!

So I haven't updated this thing in like 800 million years.

Well, everything's been okay since I came back. I'm still adjusting to a few things, but I'm doing alright. I just figured that I should actually update my journal.
I hung out with Alysha a couple of times, but I haven't done much else. I've mainly been at home, just kicking back and relaxing. I still haven't completely unpacked. :( But I ust don't feel like unpacking. And the air here is killing me! I've been coughing all the time, and it's really starting to get annoying. But whatever, I guess that I just have to get over it.

So woot, an update, I guess that I'm off now.
:)
Like twenty minutes ago, there was hail falling from the sky.

It´s July.

Wtf.
So, you guys, I´ve discovered what I missed the most while being away...

Tampons with applicators.

Seriously. Everytime you have to wash your hands before and after, and then I still sometimes feel that that isn´t enough.

But, on a completely different note, I have this week, found out that I really like the drink Martini. I had it when I went out with Mariska and her friend last Saturday night. We went out at 9, and I got back just before three!

And, by the way, here is my report, a paper about how awesome I was, and the invitation for my birthday party. You´re all invited. Don´t forget to R.S.V.P. And tell us what you like to drink. ;)

(Hello friends and family!
Like you all know, Chelsea is going back to America at the end of July. Her birthday is also the fifth, and we haven´t celebrated Eline´s birthday with everyone yet. That´s why we´re inviting you to this goodbye/ birthday party! (We´ll take care of food and drinks.)
YAY, Party!

So. The finals week ended tuesday, and I feel really relieved. My last final (physics) was really difficult, and I think I should have studied more, but on monday I was free and Mariska and I went to Germany. But anyway, they're over and I am definately rejoicing. I can't believe that I survived. The were pretty hard, but I have absolutely no idea how I did. I haven't gotten my grades yet, so we'll have to wait and see.

I went to Germany! We went to the Kik, and I bought the cheapest pair of pants I've ever seen in Europe: 24,99 euros. Yay! And I had curry worst and fries for lunch. And then we went to the German Costco. Except it was better than the costco and it was bigger. And I bought cookies that are just like Jaffa Cakes.

I think I rode my bike like 25 kilometers that day. My butt hurt a bit from my seat.
Yay.

Oh my God, that was better than the Barenaked Ladies concert.
I can't even begin to explain how great it was.

We stood in the "pit", and we were all the way in the front. I was hanging over the barrier. And at one point he was sitting at the "bar" on stage, and that was like four meters away. I nearly died.

So we went directly after school, that being about 2:15. We drove and we drove, hit traffic, and drove, and we arrived at the hotel (we stayed over night) at about 6:20. Forty minutes before the gates opened. We got settled, and then walked about five minutes to the PSV Eindhoven (football team) Stadium. We bout drink coins, and went inside. I bout a really awesome men's shirt (a size too big :( ), modeled after the one that Guus wore during the concert last year. We got our places (ALL THE WAY IN THE FRONT!!), and we got something to eat and drink. Yum.
Then there was a DJ before the concert started, but we mainly talked and I waited in anticipation.
Then the opening act started, and they sang a bunch of songs that everyone knew except for me. Sometimes I wish I was Dutch so I would know all the songs. After them, they played a video of an out of shape Guus training so he could run from his home in Tilburg to Eindhoven. And every time he got better, his beard got longer. Then he sat next to a man on the bench and said (in Dutch) "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get." The man next to him said "Life is like picking your nose, you have to get everything out of it that you can." I nearly died.
And then he appeared. He began to sing his newest single "Tranen Gelachen". It was so awesome. He sang so many songs, I don't even remember all of them. And everybody was singing and dancing it was so great. And he was right in front of us. And he was singing. The atmosphere was just indescribable.
And at the end they sang the thank you song:
Guusie Guusie Gussie bedankt!
And I sang it too!
And we took pictures!! I can't wait to see them! But we can't look at them yet because Annika has then card reader and she's doing fieldwork in the south of France now.

But ohemgee it was so awesome! I'm off to make myself a Guus Meeuwis icon. I just have to wait until I get home. Only lunch and one hour to go...
